An alternative energy company was looking for a fabricator to build a parabolic dish as a component of a larger project. Weight was to be a critical factor so a vacuum-bagged, cored – carbon fiber composite sandwich was chosen for the structure. The completed dish is 12 feet,(3.7 m) in diameter and weighs 50 pounds, (22.7 kg).
